God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

If you get a chance please check out Michelle's blog she has some of the most amazing quotes!

Good Tuesday morning!

You know there are some sick people in this world. The need to live what they preach!
{I won’t say any more on this}

Jerod is down for the week, he’s digging a ditch for mom tonight. He requested Miller Chicken for dinner so that makes it really easy for me. Just run by the store and pick up dinner, no cooking and no clean up. Love the quick and easy.

Woooohooo I have a computer back at home…I got the power cord for my lap top! With Jerod at the house I get no computer time because he needs it for his homework. With the lap top back in commission I get to play in the evening.

Last night Jerod and I put the Pack and Play together for Mikaela we were laughing our heads off by the time we got it all together! Did fine with the main part and with the basinet part but the stupid changing table about did us in. LOL! We had one of the bars in backwards, or I should say I had one of the bars in backwards; we were laughing so hard that we both had tears running. We decided that Mikaela would have probably figured it out quicker then we did, I swear I haven’t laughed that hard in ages.

Well our part of Ohio still has not got any rain. Last night we watched the storm go on either side of us. It looks like Lancaster and Logan the Hocking Hill Area got a nice storm and the area down along the Ohio River got a wonderful storm you could even see the rain that way; but, once again none for us. The Athens News had a big picture and title HOCKING RIVER and had River crossed out and Creek over top of it. There are places that the river has nothing but a little tiny trickle going through an area. I mean you can walk across it a lot of time but it’s really bad now. You can walk across the river without even getting your feet wet. Some of the farmers that use the river as their fences are having to build fences because their cows are crossing it. Even the Ohio has a few very low spots that barges are having trouble with. We are under drought conditions and they say if we don’t get rain in sizable amounts by the end of this month they will classify as the next level which I think is severe drought? Can’t remember for sure what the paper said right now. We are down like 5 inches of rain for this time of the year.

Does anyone know of a way to stop a dog from shedding? I swear Jake is shedding a pound of hair a day. I have to sweep every night, last night I got home from work and had 3 places on my carpet that was black. In front of the couch where Jake loves to lay, under the ceiling fan and in the door way to my bedroom; all three of these are where Jake lays during the day. I’ve brushed him at least once a week for weeks, I’ve even ran the sweeper over him and he’s still shedding. I don’t know what else to do except to shave him, which doesn’t work with a lab/newfie mix.

Oh and I think we have had a break through on the kitty training front. Bandit went to the door last night and wanted out, he went to the potty and came back to the door to be let back in. And…..Jake and Bandit have become friends, Jake checks on Bandit every time he comes in and Bandit rubs against Jake when they are outside together. Bandit even has come to an understanding with Cortes and Ripley. All of the animals in the Hollon household have decided to live together in harmony.

I need to get busy so I’ll close!

God Bless,

Jane

I know what you mean about those pack n plays. It seems like those silly things (along with anything else for a baby) are almost impossible together! Brian put the newest one together, but wanted me to be around to "supervise" because it was so hard! I sure you you all get rain soon. Our Kokosing river is low, but not as bad as the Hocking.

Oh I remember putting together Madelyn's pack n play! It kept folding up on me. Ours came with a bassinet attachment that was impossible to put together. Anyway, we need rain around here too. Hope you get some too!
