God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

Well today started off with a bang! It was snowing when I left for work. I get to work the parking lot is ice covered with snow on top of the ice. I get out of the car take 2 steps and both feet go up and the air and the next thing I know I’m flat on my back laying in the parking lot. So here I lay wondering if I can get up and if I can’t will any one find me.

I finally crawl to my car and use it to help me get up. Just as I get up a couple of folks from work pull in and they help me get to the office. I’m not hurt just stiff and sore, I’m so lucky I didn’t break anything. With the Rheumatoid Arthritis it is so easy to fall and break something. I’m just blessed I didn’t.

But, I really do wish someone would have had a camera just think I might have made some money on funniest home video. A beached whale trying to stand up on an ice covered parking lot has to worth a few laughs.

And the day has just got better NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you would think I would learn to keep my mouth shut. Looks like I stirred up another hornet nest at work. We have been working split lunch hours for a while now and were supposed to change at the beginning of Winter Quarter. I questioned it today and now the proverbial SH!! has hit the fan.

Director is mad, supervisor is mad but why should I have to take being stuck having lunch at 11:30 when I get to work at 8:00 when I took it just to keep peace when we started this split lunch with the understanding that when Winter Quarter started I would get to have the 12:30 to 1:30 lunch and then it would switch again. For Spring Quarter so no one had to be stuck having the long afternoons month after month after month.

I guess I should really learn to keep my mouth shut and just take what comes down the pike! Oh well maybe when I’m 90 I’ll learn!

Jane...I'm so glad you weren't hurt. Take care of yourself girl!!! I am always opening my mouth at work too! It has been the demise of more than one career job let me tell you! But I firmly agree that if you are being unfairly treated, you should say something...you know what they say...the squeaky wheel gets the grease! It's soooo true! Good for you for standing up to them!!!
